Summary
Thermocouple elements are enclosed in an ultra-thin metallic pipe (sheath) without air gaps using magnesia (MgO) powder. These sheath thermocouples have high insulation properties and high-pressure resistance.They are highly reliable because functionality is not lost even when used under sever conditions such as in corrosive atmospheres,locations with many irregularities, and locations with violent shaking.
